39,000 visitors and exhibitors from over 40 countries met at the Fakuma trade fair in Friedrichshafen in mid-October 2023. Our Meraxis team was right in the middle of it all, not only introducing visitors to our one-stop shop, but also discussing the future of the industry with representatives from the polymer industry over the four days of the trade fair.

Reducing CO2 emissions is becoming increasingly important for the polymer industry. The resource-conserving use of recycled materials is one of the most effective means of achieving this. But what can companies do if they depend on prime material for technical or economic reasons? CO2-reduced alternatives are available here as well. For example, we supply the polymer processor REHAU-Industries with S-PVC that is produced with renewable energy.

"Engineering progress. Enhancing lives." is REHAU's claim. With its innovative products and system solutions, the company improves the lives of people. REHAU is now celebrating its 75th anniversary. Together with its employees, REHAU is looking back, but above all, the group is looking ahead.

Meraxis Services GmbH and REHAU Industries, along with three other partners, have received funding for their ‘CO2ptiMat’ project from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). The aim of CO2ptiMat is to develop a digital solution that allows plastics processing companies to determine and optimize the actual carbon footprint of their own production. The funding is part of the GreenTech Innovation Competition. At the launch event in October 2023, Dr. Franziska Brantner, Parliamentary State Secretary at the BMWK, recognized the project and presented certificates to the project partners.

With RC Plast, Meraxis has found another strong partner for recycled materials: With immediate effect, we will begin distributing selected high-quality regranulates from the Danish manufacturer in Europe. The portfolio includes unfilled polypropylene (R-PP) made from recycled fibers for technical applications.
