The Swiss trading group Meraxis is now offering its customers automated order management for prime and recycled materials. Its new VMI (vendor-managed inventory) service, «Ordering 4.0», will allow the polymer distributor to simplify the procurement process and optimize inventories and orders, making processes more reliable and minimizing failure risks.

Meraxis now serves customers throughout China directly on a local level. In August 2021, the company established its own subsidiary in China for this purpose. With this step, Meraxis is continuing its global growth strategy and aims in particular to facilitate and expand its business within China.

Unlike conventional material distributors, Meraxis offers more than just prime materials. We supply our customers with injection molding tools, among other things, as well as the appropriate gauges and load carriers for a wide range of applications. Custom solutions for individual customer needs are part of our portfolio.

Meraxis has been on the market for two years as a global player in the polymer industry. A lot has happened since the start - from the launch of new, digital solutions to the expanded product range in the One-Stop Shop. But Meraxis has also already had to face a global pandemic. CEO Dr. Stefan Girschik takes a look back with us and tells us in an interview how Meraxis successfully mastered the challenges of the Corona year and why digital solutions in particular were so crucial in the process.
