The Swiss polymer distributor Meraxis has successfully completed its acquisition of the French Fournier Polymers group. In the run-up to the closing in Madrid, the responsible authorities had issued all the necessary approvals and clearance following an antitrust review. The corresponding purchase agreement had been signed in September 2022. Fournier is one of the leading distributors in Europe and North Africa of standard and technical polymers as well as additives. The acquisition will enable Meraxis to strengthen its regional presence in Western Europe and North Africa as well as expand its service and product portfolio.

Swiss trading group Meraxis and one of Europe's leading producers of polypropylene compounds Rialti have entered into a strategic partnership: Effective immediately, Meraxis will market Rialti's high-quality compounds and recompounds in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Together, the two companies will also further advance the development and production of customer-specific recompounds.

Global polymer distributor Meraxis is adding two positions to its Executive Board: Sarah Maier has been appointed Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) by the Supervisory Board effective January 1, 2023. As of March 1, 2023, Emmanuel Tarret will also join the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

As of now, polymers from ClickPlastics AG are also available in the digital customer portal of Meraxis Group. ClickPlastics specializes in the exclusive distribution of plastic granules from Asian manufacturers. The portfolio ranges from commodities to engineering polymers.

With this acquisition, Meraxis is expanding its business regionally and extending its product and service portfolio.
