The Meraxis Group has appointed Christophe Cario as Managing Director of Fournier Polymers. Since January 1, 2026, the experienced manager has taken the lead of the distribution company, which has been part of the Meraxis Group since 2023. Fournier is one of the leading distributors of standard and technical polymers and additives in Europe and North Africa. With this new appointment, Meraxis is consistently continuing to expand its presence in these markets and strengthening its product portfolio.

Meraxis is expanding its service portfolio and will offer comprehensive laboratory services for the polymer industry starting in January 2026. The company is taking over the accredited testing laboratories from the REHAU Group. Meraxis is thus expanding its portfolio to include independent and internationally comparable testing services.

With the acquisition of production and development capacities, Meraxis is reaching the next milestone in its corporate strategy and setting an example for sustainable growth. The Swiss distributor will take over the REHAU Group's compounding plant in Velen (North Rhine-Westphalia) on January 1, 2026. The plant has a production capacity of around 50,000 tons and manufactures PP, PE, and PVC compounds for the automotive, medical, and furniture industries, among others, which Meraxis now distributes exclusively.

At K 2025, global polymer distributor Meraxis will demonstrate how plastics converters can use digital tools and services to achieve more efficient processes and greater sustainability. The focus will be on the customer portal with features such as a carbon footprint calculator and an AI-supported platform for faster and more cost-efficient material development.

These are designed to streamline business processes of polymer processors and promote their sustainability activities. Meraxis will be unveiling several new tools and features at the trade fair.
