New Laboratory Services: Expanded Testing Expertise for the Polymer Industry

Shorter development cycles, stricter standards, and increasing demands for quality and sustainability—this is the reality for most plastics processors today. The pressure to qualify new materials faster and minimize risks early is growing. That’s exactly where we come in: we’re expanding our service portfolio to include extensive laboratory services.

The laboratory network we’re taking over from the REHAU Group provides everything needed for this: independence, international accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, and many years of experience in testing plastics, compounds, and recyclates. For our customers, this means tested quality and reliable results—from the very first material test to final component approval.

Across roughly 1,250 m² of laboratory space, more than 500 testing procedures are available, including 64 accredited methods. Our team unites analytics, development, processing, and testing into a seamless process. This makes it easier to evaluate new materials, adjust formulations, or test components under realistic conditions—efficiently and transparently.

The six specialized departments cover the entire value chain of material qualification: chemical analytics, physical and mechanical testing, compounding and specimen preparation, weathering and climate testing, microscopy, and surface characterization. Depending on the project, we test standardized specimens, functional prototypes, or real components—for example, as part of automotive sampling or surface testing for the furniture industry.

With this new laboratory network, we’re systematically extending our full-service offering. We now provide not only materials and consulting but also independent testing expertise—all from a single source. This enables our customers to validate faster, make decisions more confidently, and drive their development projects forward with precision.
