EcoVadis: Medal for sustainability performance
The international rating agency EcoVadis has awarded us a bronze medal. This means that Meraxis ranks among the top 35% of companies worldwide. The award recognizes, among other things, progress in the areas of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
EcoVadis works with an internationally recognized assessment catalog based on standards such as the UN Global Compact and the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The rating agency is active in over 200 industries and more than 180 countries – its assessments are considered internationally comparable and relevant across industries.
The award confirms what is important to us: At Meraxis, we pursue a structured ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) approach – from expanding our recycled materials portfolio and implementing measures to reduce CO₂ emissions to promoting the circular economy.
REACH: legal certainty, improved market access
Meraxis will now handle the REACH registration for selected materials such as PP, PE, and PET. This means that our customers will have access to additional REACH-compliant materials in addition to those already registered by our suppliers. By registering these materials ourselves, we can now cooperate with other partners in our network, thereby improving their market access.
REACH stands for “Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals.” This comprehensive set of regulations ensures that chemicals manufactured or imported into the EU are registered, tested for potential risks, and authorized.
